Art in the dark

Imagine seeing your own drawing projected in light onto Museum Hilversum or Apotheek Duker. This was possible during the Art in the Dark Festival on the Kerkbrink in Hilversum. Children from the Alberdingk Tijm College created special coloring sheets based on the museum’s facade, which were then animated and projected onto the building.
The 9th of December 2016 deputy Mayor Wimar Jeager officially activated the installation, after which visitors could see the results of the drawings animated by LiGHT-UP collective from Utrecht. The event also included exhibitions in the old post office and projections on various buildings throughout the city.
This event was made possible by the Municipality of Hilversum, Stadsfonds Hilversum, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Noord-Holland, and ABN AMRO Bank.
