BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) is an international event series where artists are invited to bring their projectors to showcase their work. The 10th anniversary event in Utrecht was a special edition, highlighting ten years of projection art, celebrated amid the limitations posed by the global pandemic.
Despite social distancing measures, the BYOB community came together to create a dynamic and collaborative environment. The event’s success was driven by the artists’ dedication to their craft, proving that even in restrictive conditions, creativity and innovation can flourish.
This event made use of multiple projection setups, relying on the artists to bring their own equipment. The technology allowed for a socially-distanced, yet visually cohesive experience that celebrated the community’s spirit of collaboration and artistic creation.
